About the Teacher Jenny Gu, founder and teacher of East Bay Art School, Albany, California, graduated from Tianjin Art Academy, Tianjin, China in 1983. For more than two decades, she has been doing art educational research and teaching at professional art schools and evening classes for adults and children. |

Jenny moved to the United States with her family in 1997. She taught art at East Bay Chinese School and New Concept School in San Francisco's Bay Area from 1998 through 2001. In 2004, she opened her own school ¨C East Bay Art School. |

Jenny's works Portrait of Mongolian Woman was collected in The Best Works of China's Art Academies published by Hunan Art Publishing House in China in 1986. She attended the El Cerrito Art Association's annual art show during the last few years and won a first price in 2001 and a second price in 1998. |  |
